Vega by ScislaC Vega by ScislaC
Full View!!! (actually it appears you need to click download... and then you'll have to probably "zoom" it as most browsers shrink images to fit) I had to leave this at full resolution from my camera to not lose any stars (which will either be lost or more visible depending on if your monitor is too bright or too dark). The big blue star just off from the center is the star Vega. When I was in Nashville, the night sky was sooo clear. Luckily there was a tripod accessible, so this is what you get from a 15 second exposure... (which is quite impressive considering you could only see 1/3rd of the stars with the naked eye). If you're interested in the names of some of the main stars I put up a scrap [link] that has some labels.

Definitely a big pic... I've tried to shrink it down before, but it loses many of the smaller stars. Besides... higher resolutions can't hurt too much (unless others use the computer)... then it's complaint city. =)

I will make a smaller copy and put it in my scraps and link to it from the regular deviation though... just for you! =D
