My buddy Ben (aka Graf77 here on DA) was going to get his first tat, and so he sketched out & refined a signature/logo for himself... It was made up of both the words GRAF (his "handle") & BAP (his initials). I offered to vectorize it for him for a clean print for the tattoo artist, which I did. But, then I also did a version where I took mad artistic license on it (as in no resemblence to the original whatsoever)... and this would be it. And in return for it I get the biggest compliment ever, he tattooed my version on his back.
The only difference on this and what he actually has inked were the Kanji didn't "wrap" in the one he had done. They were normally shaped Kanji instead of mine that attempted to "reach around" the circle. Original version done in Illustrator in March of 2004, later refined into my version using Sodi-Podi/Inkscape. I tagged it with my signature only for this website. Oh and in case you're wondering about what the Kanji mean, it's "Cripple" & "Drunk"... he has MD, and quite the sense of humor about it... as well as an alcohol problem (at least he used to, he doesn't drink but a few times a week anymore... which is MUCH better, trust me). His tat (on skin) is at [link]
I thought that's all it was anymore... How often do you drink? Also, was it okay that I posted your tat? I was gonna also post the one I traced for you (for comparison sake), but I'm gonna clean it up a little bit and email it to you so you can post it (if you even want to)... as it is yours, and my converting mediums for you doesn't count for shizzy.
