I was asked to create a logo for an open source project called Asylum... I wanted to have fun with it, so... here it is.

done in inkscape... no idea how long (woohoo got to use our new blur svg filter)

Nice logo. I'm not sure about the smiley face, but you probably had your reasons to use it. I'd have perhaps gone for a slightly deeper shade of red.

Thanks. The reasoning for the face was it was a crazy dude busting out of the asylum. ;) I don't know, I'd expect wild eyes yet a blank stare. What would you recommend to improve it? And I'll play around with the red a little to see how it looks. Thanks for the feedback!

Ooo! very nice! I love that whole white room play on the Y, and the gates on the M. Very nicely done. Very subtle, but not TOO subtle.
