Inkscape 0.47 ... Soon?

Tue Apr 28, 2009, 5:53 PM
Okay, if we rock... Inkscape 0.47 should be out in a couple months. As soon as we have regular test packages available for all major platforms, I will update again with that info.

P.S. Yes, that means it's time for me to finish a polished pic soon!

I agree with myself.
Most of the time.
32 or 64 bit Ubuntu? My processor is an AMD 64 dual core 5000, but the manufacturer installed Vista Ultimate 32 bit on my machine, and I was wondering if I should go with the 32 or 64 bit Ubuntu, if I attempt a dual boot, and if I went with 64 bit, would there be any issues given the 32 bit Vista, or problems with finding drivers for other than Inkscape? Are you running 64 bit?

I'd wait for the new version (9.04) of Ubuntu in two weeks. :D

How much RAM does your computer have? If you have under 4 gigs, I'd go with the 32bit version personally. I don't run 64bit primarily because there are still more quirks with some software (things outside of the community's control... proprietary junk which average users use).

Inkscape, draw freely.
Thank you Josh! Makes perfect sense :D
